JetBrains MPS

  1. Custom JDK 11 is bundled with MPS installation for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X.
  2. Unpack the downloaded JetBrains MPS dmg/tar.gz file or run the exe file.
  3. Use .sh or .bat script in the bin of the distributive to start JetBrains MPS.

MPS IntelliJ IDEA plugin

  1. Stop IntelliJ IDEA
  2. Unpack the downloaded IDEA plugin zip file into the IntelliJ IDEA configuration plugin folder (See the details on enabling MPS in IntelliJ IDEA)
  3. Start IntelliJ IDEA
  4. The plugin should be listed among the installed plugins
  5. Add the MPS facet to your project of choice
  6. Create an MPS model inside your project and let the fun begin
  7. Check out the MPS User Guide for Java developers for detailed guidelines

Additional Information

The sample projects can be opened from the welcome screen.
