Diana Plans

List of technologies that we plan to support: IDEA 8.0 Technology Roadmap

Plugin Compatibility

Due to a major internal refactoring, we have made a significant number of backward incompatible changes to the plugin API. Most of third-party plugins will not work unless they are updated for Diana. (Plugin developers: See here for migration guide)

Build 8940, released on October 22, 2008:

Windows installer (includes bundled JRE 1.6.0_07)

Windows ZIP archive (no bundled JRE)

Unix archive

Mac installer

Plugin development package

Windows/Unix version built with JDK 1.5

Each EAP build runs in evaluation mode for 30 days without entering a license. You can also use your purchased IntelliJ IDEA 7.0 license with EAP builds.

The GenerateToString plugin is now bundled with Diana. If you already have an installation of the plugin from the plugin manager, please remove it before installing the Diana EAP build.

Build 8650 and newer include a New Packaging Configuration Editor.

Diana includes its own code coverage engine, which can be used as an alternative to EMMA. You can find more information on it in IDEA Coverage Runner.
