We at JetBrains believe that making great tools for developers should greatly involve is about listening to developers carefully and responding to what they have to say. Our Early Access Program lets (EAP) keeps the development community closely participate involved in discussions devoted to discussing TeamCity and influence encourages you to contribute to the development planning, from early stages onwards.
We hope this EAP will be as valuable and exciting as the EAP for IntelliJ IDEA is. We greatly appreciate your feedback and ideas !
However, it is important to distinguish EAP from a pre-release software. Please note that the quality of EAP versions may at times be way below even usual beta standards.
TeamCity EAP builds allow you to preview and evaluate the new features or fixes/enhancements which will be included in the full release of the product. Early Access Program releases represent work in progress, therefore we recommend installing them on a trial server for the following reasons:
- While we try to keep these releases stable, they have not been tested to the same degree as a full release.
- Features in development releases may be changed or removed before the next official release.
- Newer TeamCity versions usually adjust the data structure and you will not be able to go back to older TeamCity versions once the data has been upgraded.
We are happy to give you an opportunity to try out TeamCity features and we greatly appreciate your feedback!
