Say hello to 141.191, the latest 0xDBE EAP build, as it comes bringing a lot of gifts, details of which are listed below.

Windows installer

Windows zip archive

Unix archive

Mac installer

Notable Changes

  • Now you can open more than one console per data source, and then quickly switch between them via the Files tool window, or the Recent Files menu, or the Navigation toolbar

  • Each console now has a schema switcher

  • To help you track and manage changes to the SQL code, we've equipped the console with the Local History toolwindow (can revert, too!)

  • Distraction Free Mode for when you only want to see the code editor. You can switch to this mode and back with a single key shortcut.

  • Git and Mercurial log viewers have been improved
  • HiDPI support for Windows and Linux is now available
  • The Mac installer doesn't require Java 6 anymore (works fine with Java 7 or 8.)
  • And, of course, there's more

  1. I like the added ability to have multiple console windows open, but it's kind of useless most of the time for professional DBAs. The feature only works with 'Scratches' and not 'Files'. Why?

Most DBAs have a bunch of saved queries that they run and use all the time and since I can't run a 'File' and get console output, there isn't much of a point of using 0xDBE over any other IDE that is out there. Running a 'File' just give me a success or failure message, how is this useful?

In order to be useful for what I do, I need to be able to run they saved queries and portions of the saved queries similar to what you've done with 'Scratches'

    1. Thanks, Brandon! We'll consider adding the option to save a "scratch" console as a named project file. Stay tuned, and other feedback is also welcome.

    2. Actually every console now is a physical file that you can rename to any place in your project:

Where can i find theese console files? Especially, for zip version without install.

Are there any plans to add the schema switching functionality to the console windows in IntelliJ IDEA?

Are there any plans to add include functionality like in psql (PostgreSQL) or sqlplus (Oracle)?  For example you can @file.sql in sqlplus and \i file.sql in psql to include a file.  Currently if I want to "run" a .sql file, it cannot process these type of includes even if the dialect is selected.

Are there any plans to view table statistics, indexes, constraints, partitions, or triggers inside the database navigator?  Will there be functionality to give a GUI for common DBA tasks such as viewing/killing sessions?  Support for PL/SQL/pgPLSql ?

I have a MS SQL DB server with FileStream and big table with 1,5 million record. If I make SQL like

'select * from storage.dbo.stgDoc', I cannot stop query and receive "Out of memory".

Can you make limit fetch record like in PL\SQL?

141.191 expired today. May I have one more recent EAP version. 0xDBE is amazing. Hardly can I work w/o it now.

    Thank you guys.
