Since the first EAP of YouTrack Energy, we provide support for [OpenSearch|http://www.opensearch.org] format, which allows you searching in YouTrack right from the browser's address field.

# Navigate to your YouTrack server. This time your browser will detect OpenSearch format support.
# The next time you type URL of your YouTrack server you will see the note *Press "Tab" to search YouTrack* at the right end of the address field:

{note:title=Known Issue}In Google Chrome for URLs with the port number explicitly specified ({{'my-youtrack:8080'}}) using OpenSearch won't be suggested automatically. The workaround for the problem is typing just the server name ('my-youtrack'), skipping the port number, then the "Press Tab' suggestion will appear.{note}
# Press the Tab key, and type your search request:
