h1. Moving Data from YouTrack Standalone to YouTrack InCloud

As long as you don't have direct access to the system database files on hosted instance, and we provide all the technical maintenance of YouTrack InCloud, what you need to do is to provide us a backup of your standalone database and the name of your InCloud instance so we can replace the database for you.
h1. Adding Data from YouTrack Standalone to YouTrack InCloud

In case of migrating data from your standalone server, while preserving existing data on your YouTrack InCloud instance, you should use [YouTrack REST API|YTD35:YouTrack REST API Reference] to import data from one YouTrack server to another.

We provide the [Python Client Library|YTD35:Python Client Library], which uses existing REST API, with a ready-to-use script for migrating issues from one YouTrack server to another. Please refer to the [detailed description of the script|YTD3:Import from Another YouTrack Server] for more information.
