Importing Issues from Jira

Version compatibility note

Current implementation of the Python Client Library and scripts is compatible with YouTrack 3.x and 4.x REST API and Python 2.6. If you use YouTrack 2.x, please refer to YouTrack Release Downloads Archive for the YouTrack 2.x compatible versions of the library and scripts.

To import issues from an existing Jira 5.x server:

  2. Install Python.

This mapping file defines correspondence between source fields in Jira project and the type of YouTrack issue's attributes, to which these fields should be converted. In general, this default mapping file is enough for the import, however if you feel the default mapping is not sufficient for your particular usecase, you may edit it. For more details about structure of the library, please to the Python Client Library
