Customizing Sidebar

Since version 3.0, YouTrack provides ability to customize the sidebar – you can manually sort tags and saved searches in the side bar and manually select which of them will be shown (pinned) in the sidebar.

By default, the following types of tags and saved searches will be 'pinned' to the sidebar:

  • the ones created by you (both personal and shared)
  • default shared tags and saved searches in YouTrack ('Assigned to me', 'Reported by me', and 'Commented by me')

To view the lists of all available tags or saved searches, click the 'N more' down arrow in the corresponding pane.

To unpin a tag or a saved search from the sidebar:

  1. Move the mouse over the icon next to a name of a tag or a saved search and click the appeared down-arrow button to open the context menu.
  2. Click 'Hide tag' or 'Hide saved search' to hide a tag or a saved search, respectively.

To pin a tag or a saved search to the sidebar:

  1. Click 'N more' to expand all available hidden tags or saved searches.
  2. Move the mouse over the icon next to a name of a tag or a saved search and click the appeared down-arrow button to open the context menu.
  3. Click 'Show tag' or 'Show saved search' to show a tag or a saved search, respectively.
