Adding Attachments to an Issue
To attach a file or screenshot to an issue, click Attach in YouTrack toolbar, and select one of the following four options:
| Option | Shortcut | Description |
|---|---|---|
| File | Ctrl+Alt+A | Choose a file to upload and optionally restrict its visibility to a user group. |
| Screenshot | Ctrl+Alt+S | When you choose this option, a screenshot applet displays with a countdown, and you have 3 seconds to prepare a display area to capture. After YouTrack has made a screenshot, modify it using the applet's toolbar, and click Attach. |
| Image from Clipboard | This option lets you grab a pre-captured screenshot from the clipboard. Similar to the Screenshot option, you can modify the screenshot using the applet's toolbar and click Attach when you've finished. | |
| Image from Clipboard without Preview | Ctrl+Alt+V | This final option grabs a pre-captured screenshot from the clipboard but doesn't display the applet to edit it; instead, the screenshot is immediately attached to your issue. |
Specified shortcuts are available within New Issue dialog, YouTrack bookmarklet, as well as in viewing Issues list or the full screen issue mode. When you use shortcuts in the Issues list mode, the command will be applied and a file or a screenshot will be attached to the currently highlighted issue in the list.
