This section covers how to set up the Google Mail and Google Talk as notification servers when configuring the TeamCity server.

Google Mail

On the Administration | Server Configuration | EMail Notifier tab set the options as described below:

Property Value
SMTP host smtp.gmail.com
SMTP port 465
Send email messages from Type an e-mail address to send notifications from.
SMTP login Specify the SMTP login name, if any.
SMTP password Specify the SMTP password.
Use TLS (SSL) Enable the option.
Test connection Click to check the connection with the smtp.gmail.com host.
Save Save current settings.

Google Talk

On the Administration | Server Configuration | Jabber Notifier tab set the options as described below:

Property Value
Server talk.google.com
Port 5222
Server user Full username with domain part if you use Google Apps for domain.
Server user password Specify user's password.

    You can also try to use port 80 for talk.google.com if 5222 does not work.
