What is Early Access Program

We at JetBrains believe that making tools for developers should greatly involve listening to developers. Our Early Access Program lets development community closely participate in discussions devoted to IntelliJ IDEA and influence development planning, from early stages onwards.
Early Access Program allows you to try pre-release versions of our software to evaluate features that will be added to the next release.

Be Careful

Icon

It is important to distinguish EAP from traditional pre-release software. Please note that the quality of EAP versions may at times be way below even usual beta standards.

  1. idea.sh is missing in ideaIU-140.2110.tar.gz. You have to copy it from previous installation.

    1. It is not true. I rechecked the arhive which I have got from the link and the idea.sh exists.

    2. OK. My fault (maybe problem during unpacking), but I received:

      Plugin Error
               Problems found loading plugins:
Plugin "Scala Imports Organizer" was not loaded: required plugin "Scala" not installed.
               Disable Scala Imports Organizer

Following plugins are incompatible with current IDE build: SBT

I have scala plugin installed. Maybe this one is not compatibile with 14.1.

      1. Unfortunately, older Scala plugin is incompatible with IDEA 14.1 EAP. You have to upgrade your Scala plugin to 14.1 EAP as well, it's avaliable here:

        https://confluence.jetbrains.com/display/SCA/Scala+plugin+EAP

    3. in this version idea.sh was updated (thanks to the developers that added there VM_OPTIONS_FILES_1 and VM_OPTIONS_FILES_2).

Perhaps the file has been deleted due to local changes.

  2. It'd be super helpful if people leaving comments here made sure to say what specific build they're referring to.

  3. It's probably even more helpful to report issues in the issue tracker :)
